HUGE BORDER with CAT RUG
This little cat rug for some reason catches my fancy!The large beautiful border should be the central focus but the little cat draws me in . . . ..the expression says it all . . .whatever you wish it to be . . . .I like the little checkerboard stitch in black and white . . .that is 2 strips, of different colours, hooked together in a line . . .used as outline between the cat square and the border . . .
The cat seems to be hooked in a texture . . .. it looks cartoonish . . . .and the huge BORDER looks like a Japanese wood carving . . .. Simple colour choices . . . .a well loved cat!! Nice rug!
.I am sorry not to know who hooked it but I saw this rug at the Shelburne Vermont rug show last November . . .. .
