DIGBY NECK and HURRICANE EARL

THE CENTRE of the STORM is @ the moment COMING right through
DIGBY NECK and my little cove . .

Hopefully it will  downgrade to . . .
just a TROPICAL RAIN STORM . . .
(thats bad enough for my gardens on a hillside!!!)
I will not be able to write here for a few days . . .

These images are from the 1930's delightful little  story book about the cove which is in our Library where we have our HOOK-INs.
It is called ''The BLUE TEAPOT'' by the writer Alice Dalgliesh who summered here every year.

  2. Yes, stay safe Judith. Earl is tracking for us after he leaves you. We are all hoping for the tropical downgrade too.

  3. Judith, you and all those who are in hurricane Earl's path are in my prayers and I hope that it will loose strength before it arrives and leave without causing too much damage.

What a delightful map of the cove in the old book. I was just thinking that it would look great as a rug.

    Stay safe and well. JB

  4. Hi Judith:
Take care and let's hope Earl changes his mind and passes by out to sea.

  5. Hello Judith, I quickly bought a copy of this book after reading your post. It arrived yesterday and after work, I sat down and read it. Wonderful little book, as you say. It mentions hooked rugs twice! I hope to visit you area sometime and the endpapers can be my map. Cheers, Susan
