BROKEN DISHES - ANOTHER PRIMITIVE GEOMETRIC MAT

AGAIN - HOOK A GEOMETRIC RUG using a BOWL to CREATE a SIMPLE FUN DESIGN

Here is my own version-hooked mostly with textures ,recycled clothing  such as skirts and Pendelton shirts . . .all found at 'FRENCHIES' which is a well known east CANADIAN eg Maritimes hookers paradise! It will have to be for another blog date to explain what Frenchies means to me . . .. .  as I am rushing off to our HOOK IN today to hand in the forms and photos for the rug hooking  EXHIBIT  here in Montreal   30 APRIL to the  8 MAY  . . . .
I used a template in cardboard to create the second design element . . .. repeated in each circle in alternate positions . . .the idea was to make a very OLD  looking rug  . . .even choosing  the finishing edge in a simple way . . .. turned under and a black binding tape sewn on . . . .this kind of rug is easy to hook on while at a hook-ins . . ..  as  talking doesn't disturb the mind thoughts much as to where goes what!  . . .also  . ..it is a very good design to  slowly learn about 'VALUES' . . while hooking it. . . . ..
